The Zenith MinisPort was a notebook-sized laptop released in 1989. It features a back-lit LCD screen, a battery-backed RAM disk, an internal floppy disk drive, a removable battery pack, and a standard-sized laptop keyboard, all which fit into a case only a bit larger than a notebook. There are a number of I/O ports for CRT monitor, printer, RS-232 and and an external floppy disk drive. The MinisPort took 2-inch floppy disks, which are very similar to 3.5-inch disks. It was the only device to use the 2-inch floppy disks, which were made by Fuji Film. There was an external 3.5-inch floppy disk drive available as an extra. The 8-MHz 80C88-based MinisPort comes with 640K DOS memory plus 384K for the RAMdisk. It came with either 1MB or 2MB of RAM - the example in our collection is the 2MB version.
