Pico Tree Christmas Workshop - Saturday 17th December 2022
Description : Ever wanted to make and code your own light up Christmas decoration but you’re nervous about soldering? Join us this December as we put together and code a Raspberry Pi Pico powered Christmas tree - no soldering required! We’ll be learning about electronics and MicroPython coding in this easy workshop for beginners. We’ll supply all the parts you need. No previous experience is required, but some computer knowledge would be beneficial for the coding section. While there will be no soldering, we will be using hot glue guns- much less ouchey. The session will last for approximately two hours and is aimed at ages 10+. This workshop session is priced at £30.00 per participant and includes the cost of the kit and entry to the museum! For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry rate of £10. Date : Saturday 17th December 2022 Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your tree works, careful assembly is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non-working snowmen due to poor assembly. Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place.
Cancellations: We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations in the 14 days prior to the workshop. This is because we will have purchased the kits. However, you are still welcome to collect your kit from the museum during our normal opening hours. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
