Alienware is a long running series of computers with hardware dedicated to gaming, so named as the founders were fans of the hit show the X Files, so wanted a name that could identify with places such as Area 51.

This is the first Alienware laptop to transition to the Intel i7 processors from the Intel Sandy Bridge range, and has the Nvidia Geforce 200 for graphics.

The brand is strongly associated with the gaming community, with the red keyboard lights and futuristic case designs setting them apart from other laptops
