Ever fancied getting into 3D printing but weren't sure where to start? Scared of the prices of high-end printers?

Then join us this summer for an introductory session where we will assemble a 3D printer, talk about the tech behind 3D printing, learn about 3D modelling and slicing software, and make our first prints together.

Each participant will receive a mint green, mini 3D printer, filament, and all the parts necessary to get it up and running. By the end of the session you'll have the know-how to 3D print model files downloaded from the internet!

No previous 3D printing experience is required. While this is an entry-level workshop, we recommend ages 9+ due to the complex nature of 3D modelling and printer setup. The printer has a 100mm x 100mm printing bed.

Please note that all under 14's MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We are still maintaining some Covid precautions to protect our staff & visitors. Hand sanitisers are available throughout the museum. Please wash your hands regularly when using the machines.

Cancellations: We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations in the 14 days prior to the workshop. This is because we will have purchased the kits. However, you are still welcome to collect your kit from the museum during our normal opening hours.
