This laptop-style, personal, Japanese-language, word processor from Fujitsu is also referred to as the 30LX2. The Oasys range were sold as revolutionary new word processors, designed to support a huge range of characters, including kanji. There is a built-in printer at the rear of the machine, with print speeds of 33 characters per second to 50 characters per second. It has a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive at the rear right hand side, and an extendable carry handle at the front. This model cost ¥188,000 at release. The 30LX range of Japanese-language laptop/word processors was Fujitsu’s first use of a monochrome liquid crystal diode display. The desktop model, Oasys 30MX, was released at the same time. There was a version of Tetris released for many of the OASYS range, including this one, in 1991. Model number 0A30LX2-J.
