61301 Ray Shaw with mercury delay line parts (June 1950)
Description of Photograph Photograph of LEO I engineer Ray Shaw looking at a disassembled mercury delay line on the lab bench, with a box for producing single pulses visible behind. Taken at the same time as CMLEO/LS/PH/1/61302. This image appears in the interactive plan for our Virtual LEO I installation, p67. The caption written on the back of the print is in LEO historian Peter Bird's handwriting, indicating it was originally from his collection but was at some point separated from the rest before being given to the archive.
