Night at the Museum - 31st March 2016
Description : Come and spend an evening at the museum!
We're opening from 6pm to 10pm on Thursday 31st March, and we'll be running special events and talks for you to attend at no extra charge.
At 6:30pm there will be a guided tour of the Centre, led by our Assistant Curator Jeremy Thackray. You will be led through the extraordinary advance in technology over 50 years of computing history and discover how computers have not only accelerated our lives, but radically transformed them. The tour will be identical to this event.
At 7:30pm there will be a talk for Mums and Dads about the BBC Micro:bit, led by the Director of the Centre, Jason Fitzpatrick. It will be a rerun of this event and will be a great introduction to the micro:bit for any parents of children who are receiving this tiny computer from the BBC.
In addition, all our exhibits will be switched on as usual, including our fantastic new exhibition Lights! Camera! Play! This exhibition will only be running until the middle of May, so come and see it while you can!
Doors open at 6:00pm. Booking is not required but will ensure entry if bookings are high. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
