Hello World - Hardware Style!
Description : Say "Hello World" ... hardware style! Explore the world of microcontrollers; learn how to program and build a small circuit using the PIC microcontroller. The course will cover a basic overview of assembly language, programming the hardware, soldering and higher level languages such as c and basic. On Friday 8th August we'll be turning our Hauser Studio into an Electronics Lab. We'll have soldering stations set-up and our in-house electronics expert will help you assemble, solder and test your PIC microcontroller circuit. Ideal for budding electronics and software engineers.
This is a unique workshop aimed at children aged from 10 upwards. All under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place. Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your PIC circuit works, careful assembly and soldering is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non working boards due to poor assembly. This workshop session is priced at £16.00 per participant and includes the cost of all components and entry to the museum! Session starts at 11:00am
Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
