Dizzy is a series of games programmed initially for the Amstrad and Spectrum by Andrew and Philip Oliver, known together as the Oliver Twins. Dizzy is an egg character with arms and legs, and must walk, and do rolling jumps across colourful, but dangerous landscapes, trying to rescue his friends, called the yolk folk, from the evil wizard Zaks. The success of the games meant the titles were ported to other formats, and there were to be a further dozen or so games between 1987 and 1992. There have been attempts to revive the series over the years, most recently in 2012 via the Kickstarter program. The game, Dizzy Returns was not released. An few unreleased games were found in Philip Oliver's attic and released to the public. Wonderland Dizzy in 2015, and Mystery World Dizzy in 2017.
