The Interdata 70 microcomputer was made by Interdata Inc of Oceanport, New Jersey, United States of America. The company was founded in 1966 by a former IBM engineer to produce computers equivalent to those made by IBM but at a cheaper price. In 1973 the company was taken over by Perki-Elmer Corporation and eventually the Interdata name was lost as the company formed the nucleus of Perkin-Elmer's Data System's Group. In 1985 that group became the independent Concurrent Computer Corporation.
