Although the label on the machine says HP9845B, this is in fact the expanded version HP9845T, with two cartridge drives, and a thermal printer, 192KBytes of LPU R/W memory and also graphics support.
This was the final version of the 9845 series, and appeared in HP's brochures from the end of 1979.
The 9845 series of machines were revolutionary for the time, with a monitor that attached by two upright connectors on top of the case, and bearing many similarities with the desktop micros that would appear later.
Unfortunately the monitor's screen on our one has delaminated and failed.
The later 9845C had a colour screen, and light pen facilities for design work.
