Introduced in April 1995, the original 5200s use a 75 MHz PowerPC 603 CPU. The Power Macintosh 5200 LC was only sold to the education market, while the Performa models were sold to consumers. In April 1996, they were replaced by the 5260-related models, but some Performa models remained available for a longer time. The Apple Macintosh Performa 5200CD features a 8 MB of RAM, and either a 790 MB or 1.0 GB hard drive in an attractive all-in-one case with a 15" color monitor.
