A hybrid tablet/PC released by ASUS in 2011. It was the first of ASUS's transformer range, and was originally intended as a competitor to the iPad.

The Eee Pad is made up of two parts, a tablet with a 10.1" inch touch-screen, and a detachable keyboard. The two parts can be locked together, once attached, by the use of a small slider at the point of connection. It ran intially on Android 3.1, but later was updated to 4.0.3. The tablet side also includes two cameras, one at the front (1.3MP) and one at the back (5MP).
