Ready to capitalise on the nations euphoria at Daley's success in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984, this game follows him on his quest for glory, competing in a series of athletics challenges to score the maximum points for a gold medal. Daley must compete and score well over two days, the first day has the 100M Sprint, followed by the long jump, shot put, high jump and 400m. The second day is for 100M hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and finally the gruelling 1500M. Points are scored for placing in some events, others it is throwing the furthest to the least scoring the athletes. The game is well known as a joystick waggling game, the player has to waggle the joystick furiously left and right for the character to gain speed, or 2 keys on a keyboard, and then at the right moment in events such as long jump, press the button for action, like launching into the air. Joysticks were reasonably expensive, but made generally of plastic, and it was not uncommon for the player to snap the neck of the peripheral.
