BTBE Community Made CD Art Display!

16th April 2025

This week we are excited to announce that there is a new display in our gallery being made!

Broken Tech, Broken Earth is the Centre for Computing History's first time addressing key environmental concerns about how we use our technology. As a result, the launch event gave the community a taste of various different activities to try and be more environmentally friendly. This included painting on CDs so that we can create some art work to display in the museum.

So far Lori who is one of our community participants for this project with an artistic flair has been experimenting with the CDs to create an incredible display for the museum that represents the project.

If you would like to get involved and create some e-waste art work to display at the museum email BTBE@computighistory.org.uk

We are so excited to see how the display develops and hope to include even more community made e-waste art in the museum.

If you came to the BTBE launch event, can you spot your CD on this display?
