Celebrating the Mega Drive, 35 Years of Blast Processing

Picture the scene.... it's 1990, and the new school year has just started. Maybe you were dropped off by your brother or sister in their Vauxhall Nova. Tie dye t-shirts were all the rage, as were friendship bracelets and shell suits.

And against this backdrop, Sega answered our gaming prayers and launched the Mega Drive... Hallelujah!

From the original Mega Drive to the Mega CD, come join us as we celebrate the 35th UK launch anniversary of this iconic games system

We are a registered charity. Since opening in 2013, over 160,000 people, including 18,000 school pupils, have visited the Centre. Our visitors deserve a space which is engaging and inspiring, where they can feel a sense of adventure, exploration and wonder!
