Let's Code the Code-A-Pillar! - Thursday 10th April 2025

Description :
The only catch is that Code-a-Pillar is a computer and needs instructions to find the food. A set of instructions is called an algorithm. Come and find out about algorithms and how you can use these to code in this fun activity! This workshop is aimed at children aged 5-7 and is ideal for children at the Early Years and KS1 levels. This is not a booked event. However, we will need to limit numbers due to the number of Code-a-Pillars available. Therefore, please ensure that you register your interest for this activity at the front desk as soon as you arrive at the museum. There is no additional charge for the activity but standard museum entry fees apply. The children must be accompanied by an adult who will attend the workshop alongside them. Date: Thursday 10th April 2025 This workshop will start at 11 am promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Cancellations: We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations in the 14 days prior to the workshop. This is because we will have purchased the kits. However, you are still welcome to collect your kit from the museum during our normal opening hours. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
