The latest Broken Tech, Broken Earth Project has officially set off with a local participants and partners meetings to share our ideas the project! The first meeting in December just before the Christmas break was for the participants in the local community which included many of our own volunteers discussing everyone's perspectives of e-waste and the environmental impact of technology. The local community jumped right into debates about their experiences dealing with the cultural pressures of upgrading their phones, finding better ways to recycle their technology and their sense of pride for living/working in Cambridge. 

The partners meeting held after New Year's invited all the organisations interested in the project to ask any questions and also learn more about what the Centre for Computing History is planning for the project. We addressed some major themes which we wish to explore and everyone was able to provide their insight into their knowledge and experience exploring these ideas in their line of work. 

We are looking forward to continuing to collaborate with community voices and local partner organisations as co-producers for the project.
