Decorate a Christmas Tree with Bee-Bot - Friday 20th December 2024
Description : Bee-Bot loves Christmas. So, we've asked it to decorate our classroom Christmas Tree. But, there are so many decorations - there are baubles, candy canes, snowflakes, and don't forget the presents under the tree! It's really close to Christmas and we think Bee-Bot would love some help. Would you like to be Bee-Bot's helper? The only catch is that Bee-Bot is a robot and needs instructions to find all the Christmas decorations. A set of instructions is called an algorithm. Come and find out about algorithms and how you can use these to code in this fun activity! The session is aimed at children aged 4-6 years and is ideal for children at the KS1 level. Booking is essential. There is no additional charge for the activity but standard museum entry fees apply. The children must be accompanied by an adult who will attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £12. Date: Friday 20th December 2024 Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Cancellations: We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations in the 14 days prior to the workshop. This is because we will have purchased the kits. However, you are still welcome to collect your kit from the museum during our normal opening hours. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
