This DVD contains 68 video clips selected from the 'Connect ICT' series, produced to complement the NOF trining course and transmitted by Channel 4. The clips have been selected for the particular relevance to aspects of the GLPD training programme. The clips should be introdcued in a training session as they are intended as a prompt for discussion

Through a combination of case studies and vox pops, the video clips highlight the many issues surrounding the impact of ICT on classroom practice and teachers' professional development, including

  • The advantages it can bring to subject teaching
  • The effect it is having on communications
  • The benefits of ICT for SEN teaching
  • Speculation about the future

GLPD (Granada Learning Professional Development) is a leading training provider, providing quality ICT training for primary and secondary schools via local courses throughout England and Wales. The course is designed to encourage participants to consider how they can incorporate ICT into their professional lives and then to impliment these ideas. In this way the trainer acts as a mentor rather that as a lecturer
