This is a famous programmable driving vehicle, that was top of many Christmas lists in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The vehicle can be programmed with the keyboard on the rear of the unit, to move forward, turn from side to side, reverse, pause for a moment, and if attached empty the trailer, it can also fire a gun.

The vehicle can be programmed in steps, for example, move forward 3 ft, as step 1, turn 15 to the right, (as the vehicle uses minutes on a clock, that would mean that it would turn 90 degrees right) as step 2, Fire three times, as step 3 etc.

It ran off of four D cell batteries held in a rear compartment, and a 9 Volt battery in a circular compartment near the front.

Despite the high price of £29.99, which is £220 in today's money, it was a massive hit, still fondly remembered by those who owned one.

In 2008, the toy was re-released for its 40th anniversary. It was exactly the same, except used only three D cell batteries.

This model is still present on the original sheet in the package.
