'Spooky' Game On! The Guided Tour - Thursday 31st October 2024

Description : A special museum tour with a spooky twist! Our in-house gaming experts will guide you through the history of video games from the seventies to the modern day. Video games have progressed from simple black and white pixelated play to immersive epics that rival any blockbuster movie. But how did this happen? What did Nintendo make before Mario, and who was their real competitor in Japan? The tour will start at 2pm and last around 45 minutes, and provides an opportunity to discuss and even argue the merits and weaknesses of your favourite consoles and games! The tour is free (although museum entry charges apply - £12 for adults, £8 for children, £10 for concessions and students, £25 for a family ticket of one adult and two children, and £32 for a family ticket of two adults and two children). The ticket includes entry to the museum for the whole day. Please note that children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Date: Thursday 31st October 2024 The tour will start at 2 pm promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Cancellations: Due to the limited number of places available for this event, we are unable to refund tickets when cancelled less than 7 days before the event.
