The pressures and temperatures found on Earth mean that many materials can exist in different physical states. In this CD ROM students will investigate the particles which make up matter - atoms and molecules - in elements, compounds and mixtures. They will be able to investigate the structures of the different states of matter at a molecular level and see how these change with temperature, leading to an appreciation of simple kinetic theory.
