Description : Learn how to build and program with the Raspberry Pi Pico! In this workshop you will be building your own wearable computer! This will be battery-powered using a Raspberry Pi Pico. Come and learn how to design and create your own pixel creature to ‘live’ on your wrist. The coding will be done using MicroPython. W This is a foundation project, to give you a starting point to continue at home. This workshop is ideal for those aged 11 and older. The fee is £35 per participant in this workshop and includes admission to the museum all day. For participants aged 14 or under, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £12 and are valid all day. Date: Friday 16th August 2024 This workshop will start at 11 am promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Cancellations: Due to the limited number of places available for this event, we are unable to refund tickets when cancelled less than 7 days before the event.
