Computing Herstory: The Guided Tour - Friday 2nd August 2024
Description : During this special museum tour, our in-house steminists will guide you through women's contributions to the history of computing from the fifties to the modern day. From Ada Lovelace to Anne-Marie Imafidon, from Grace Hopper to Sophie Wilson, women’s contribution to the field of computing has been constant and immense. Come and join us as we explore these stories in our Computing Herstory tour.
The tour is free (although museum entry charges apply - £12 for adults, £8 for children, £10 for concessions and students, £25 for a family ticket of one adult and two children, and £32 for a family ticket of two adults and two children). The ticket includes entry to the museum for the whole day. Please note that children 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Date: Friday 2nd August 2024 The tour will start at 2 pm promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Cancellations: Due to the limited number of places available for this event, we are unable to refund tickets when cancelled less than 7 days before the event.
