An Electronic Atlas for Schools is a GIS based system for use across the school curriculum. It allows users to bring maps and data together for display and analysis in many different ways. The disc comes with nearly 1,000 maps - world maps, country maps, county maps and specialist maps. It also contains many data sets for use in geography, history and science, with many more sets downloadable from the linked web site. Economic and weather statistics, resources and world photgraphs - all are available from the disc. The system software enables automatic map selection. Users can enter their own maps and data sets. The disc is introduced by a series of interactive documentaries. A unique classroom resource, with apllications across the curriculum
