Primary Numeracy One is divided into three strands: Solving Problems, Numbers and the Number System and Measures, Shape and Space. Taking Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as its theme, each of these areas is introduced by familiar characters, including the Dutchess and the Mad Hatter; who take pupils through a series of games designed to develop particular skills in line with the Numeracy Strategy objectives for Year One
