The Master Library module is for the Texas Instruments (TI) Programmable 58C and 59 calculators, which were the first calculators to use removable ROM program modules. The modules could hold up to 5,000 program steps. The TI Programmable 59 also had a magnetic card reader, which allowed the user to use pre-saved data and programs, and save data and programs on blank cards. The calculators came with the Master Library ROM module included, but there were a number of others you could purchase separately. The Master Library included 25 programs, which included a number of pre-programmed routines such as matrix addition and multiplication, complex functions and compound interest, and one game.
