This Aviation package is for the Texas Instruments (TI) Programmable 58 and 59 calculators, which were the first calculators to use removable ROM program modules. The ROM modules could hold up to 5,000 program steps. The TI Programmable 59 also had a magnetic card reader, which allowed the user to use pre-saved data and programs, and save data and programs on blank cards. The calculators came with the Master Library ROM module included, but there were a number of others you could purchase separately, including the Aviation package. The Aviation module includes 23 programs, with programs including Flight Plan with Wind, Course Correction, Pilot Unit Conversions, and Atmosphere, Speed, Temperature, and Altitude.
