The first FIFA game, released in 1993 and developed by EA Canada's Extended Play Productions, it was released for SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Console in December and was later released to other games consoles in 1994. It was positively received by critics, they acclaimed it's detail and footballer graphics, as well as the crowd sound effects and overall presentation. It's main flaws are said to be the game speed and issues with the player input responses. A later version, 3DO, added multiple camera views and graphics with better detail. It sold exponentially, with the Mega Drive/Genesis version being the bestseller in the UK in 1993. It was the later pack-in game for Goldstar 3DO and produced a sequel; FIFA Soccer 95.
