This is a peripheral for the famous programmable driving vehicle, that was top of many Christmas lists in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The trailer will be remembered by dads of the late 70s, as there children would have used it to deposit slippers, apples, or cans of drink at the feet of their dad. Bigtrak could be programmed to drive up to someone, and then tip up the dumper, tipping any contents onto the floor.

The trailer was powered independently of the vehicle with four d cell batteries, this stopped as much battery drain from the host vehicle.

Despite the high price of £29.99, which is (£220 in todays money), it was a massive hit, still fondly remembered by those who owned one.

In 2008, Bigtrak was re released, for it's 40th anniversary, made in the regular size and also a mini vehicle, sadly the trailer was only reproduced for the mini version
