TechTalk: Alex Sulman - Psygnosis: A Love Story - Saturday 6th May 2023
Description : Join us to hear Alex's talk on Psygnosis' impact on video game history. Often mentioned as a classic developer, Psygnosis has certainly left a mark on videogame history. Through personal experience and a study of the company itself come on a journey with Alex as he attempts to demonstrate why (in his opinion), Psygnosis not only left a mark, but an indelible one by playing a pivotal role in bringing videogames from the "childish" 16-Bit era into the modern "for everyone" form that they exist as today! Alex has been lucky enough to work in the industry for 25+ years, starting right here in Cambridge as a QA tester before going on to work as a designer at Sony Cambridge, Sony Santa Monica, Blizzard, and DICE, working on franchises such as Frogger, God of War, Diablo, Battlefield, Heavenly Sword, and more! He is currently Lead Combat Designer at Zenimax Online Studios working on something new and exciting!! Alex has always been and continues to be obsessed with both how videogames feel and how they are made, he is an avid collector, and loves to waffle about videogames to anyone that'll listen!
The talk will begin at 7pm and last around 60 minutes, with the opportunity to ask questions afterwards. Social Handles ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS - Please enter your pass number at checkout.
