Antiques Road Trip

On 18th May 2021, BBC1 aired Its regular programme Antiques Road Trip. As part of the programme one of its participants, Tim Medhurst visited CCH and interviewed CCH Curator Jason Fitzpatrick to find out something about the antique computing items held by the Museum. Jason, in the course of his illustrated talk, went through the history of efforts to automate calculations including the Jacquard loom, Charles Babbage, Colossus, the Acorn Computer and ending with the ARM chip, contrasting it with the older technologies.  His voyage through the history included a section on EDSAC, Lyons and LEO with photographs of a LEO.

A clip from the programme can be found on the LEO Computers Society's website.
