Photograph of a single disc file unit for LEO III computers.

Inscription on reverse: "A Disc File Unit for LEO III computers. Up to eight units could be attached to a system. Circa 1964. Each unit had 16 discs and could hold 4,325,376 words of 40 bits, plus 2 sign bits. Average search time 210 ms. Transfer rate 120,000 digits per second."
