Preview title for the full game, contains 6 of the tracks from the full game, and 60 cars, the title also included up to 16 player online races and access to Gran Turismo TV, which contained a large amount of content related to Motor sport.

Polyphony Digital wrote the Prologue games as a way of keeping up interest in the full series, as the gaps between the main titles could be many years.
