This version of the Spectrum was assembled in Portugal. They were intended for the Portuguese and South American markets. They were after the Timex models who had pulled out of the computer industry. Sinclair supplied parts to be assembled in Portugal under the Sinclair brand name. A number of these machines with the Sinclair branding appear to have made it back to the UK. This one was the property of an airline pilot, who brought it back from Portugal.
