WordMania Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14) WordMania encourages pupils to revise basic Language skills whilst navigating a series of mazes. they can play on their own, against friends on a network and even against pupils around the world via the Internet! They win points by answering multi-choice questions to win points in order to get past a range of challenging maze obstacles and by outwitting 'friends' who may unexpectedly block their way. With enough points to leave a maze, pupils can enter another, or win bonus points by tackling topic-based puzzles. Harder multi-choice questions than KS2 on Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation, Comprehension, plus Use of English and Lucky Dip. Puzzles include harder Grammar Nibbles and Sliding Blocks, plus Deciphering Codes (work out the message), Crossword, and Pong Spelling (the classic Atari 'tennis' game as a spelling challenge).
