This package contains a biology program on disk, students worksheets, and a teacher's guide which can be used to explore a variety of program options. Metabolic Pathways simulates the experimental determinations of a metabolic pathway. It uses a microbiological method, involving mutant strains of bacterium Salmonella thyphimurium. The program can be used to help students practice the reasoning involved in establishing a metabolic pathway. Metabolic Pathways is one of a large number of programs developed by the Computers in the Curriculum Project at Chelsea College for a wide range of subjects in the secondary curriculum. This program was originally published by Longman Group Limited and subsidized by the Microelectronics Education Programme for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland (Copyright © C.E.T., 1983). The documentation includes portions that have been reprinted with permission of Longman Group Limited. Kindly donated by Gary Stephenson.
