Science - Human Energy Expenditure

This package contains a biology program on disk, student worksheets, and a teacher's guide which can be used to explore a variety of program options. The activities which people undertake affect the amount of energy that they use. A study of human energy expenditure inevitably involves a large amount of calculation if more than a very limited number of activities are to be investigated. Human Energy Expenditure allows students to explore energy requirements in relation to activities, sex and mass requirements without doing any calculation, and to compare them with the energy they obtain from the food they eat. This program was originally published by Longman Group Limited and subsidized by the Microelectronics Education Programme for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland (Copyright © Schools Council Publications, 1983). The documentation includes portions that have been reprinted with permission of Longman Group Limited. Kindly donated by Gary Stephenson.
