Early prototype model of the Sinclair Enterprise calculator. There is a label inside the battery compartment that says 'Prototype No. 1'. The IC is a General Instruments C689DL that is dated week 01 1977. The Sinclair Enterprise was a four-function calculator with percentage, memory, and square root functions. It was released in October 1977. It was bigger than the calculators in the previous Cambridge range, and featured red LEDs for the display screen. It featured the General Instruments C689D chip. The Enterprise Programmable was later released in 1978. This unit came from Chris Wilding, formerly of Sinclair Radionics and Sinclair Electronics Ltd.
