Roger Wagner Roger Wagner founded Southwestern Data Systems in the late 1970’s in San Diego. He is a technologist, business advisor, software designer, presenter, former Board Member: CUE Inc., private pilot, ……. Wagner also authored the first book on assembly language programming for the Apple II. In the words of his long-time friend Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computer, “Roger Wagner didn’t just read the first book on programming the Apple computer—he wrote it.” He saw the educational potential of hypermedia before the advent of the web. He developed hypermedia authoring software, HyperStudio, which had a significant influence on the field. The noted educator Doug Peterson said, “If you do anything with technology in your classroom, your approach most assuredly has Roger Wagner’s influence all over it.” Technology and Learning Magazine lists Wagner as one of the “Most Important Educational Technology Gurus,” along with Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Seymour Papert.
