In other regions this game is known as Top Gear Dare Devil, but here it is abbreviated to TG Dare Devil on the cover, spine and disc. We speculate that this is to avoid confusion with the Nintendo 64 games Top Gear Overdrive & Top Gear Rally, or perhaps the British TV program Top Gear.

Cars featured include the Mini, mart Car, New Beetle Covertivle, Citroen 2CV, and Bubble Car.

One of the few PlayStation 2 games to come on a CD rather than DVD ROM.
