Machinarium is an exploration adventure and puzzle point-and-click game from Amanita Design, the creators of Samorost and Botanicula. Collector's Edition contains the full game, 65-minute original soundtrack from acclaimed composer Floex and 121-page digital art book with designs by creator Jakub Dvorsky. It was developed and financed by seven Czech developers over a period of three years, with a marketing budget of only $1,000. The gameplay is to solve a series of puzzles linked together by an overworld consisting of a traditional "point and click" adventure story. In this overworld only objects within the player character's reach can be clicked. It contains no spoken or written dialogue but instead uses a system of animated thought bubbles. Easter egg backstory scenes are revealed by idling in certain areas. It has a two-tier hint system. Once per level, the player can receive a hint, which becomes increasingly vague as the game progresses. Machinarium comes with a walkthrough, accessed at any time by playing a minigame.
