Horace & The Spiders (Rom Cartridge)

The third and final Horace game was exclusive to the ZX Spectrum and can easily be found on cassette, though this cartridge version was also produced. These have become quite rare and expensive to find now, as not many were produced, and needed the Sinclair Interface 2 to use. The carts were expensive £14.95, and could only hold programs up to 16K, so when the cassette games cost three times less, the carts were not a big success. The game itself is a mixture of games styles, the first sees him climbing a hill and jumping over spiders, the second, involves crossing a bridge, and swinging on spider threads, rather similar to Pitfall. The third and final level definitely takes inspiration from Lode Runner, where Horace runs up and down webs, jumping on them to make holes, which the spiders fall into, where he can then jump on them to clear the level.
