SCOPE
This hardware manual for PC/PCXT computers, is designed for use by technically oriented users and service technicians. The reader is introduced to the computer and its composition through complete
description and presentation of theory of operations, bus expansion signals, interconnect diagrams, and schematic diagrams.

The block diagram of the system, block diagram of the Main Processor Board, and block diagram of Video Controller board are very helpful illustrations detailing the system's structure and composition.

The system's interconnect.diagram, along with cable and harness schematic and assembly drawings, parts list, and connector pin assignment diagrams, can be used as useful troubleshooting aids.

The section in Power-up Diagnostics and- Troubleshooting Hints has proved helpful in bringing up the system when errors are encountered.

Appendices A through H must be consulted whenever they are referenced or  as more information about referenced sub-assemblies is needed.
