Research comments: According to Professor Frank Land OBE, this is believed to date from 1952. The original version was about 75 pages, though later versions were much longer. The guide was circulated to Lyons executives and senior management to help them understand how computers, and in particular LEO, worked. The typewritten document is in part based on Ernest Lenaerts' Development of the LEO Computer. (LM)
