Agreement is made to explore the possibility of establishing a consultancy service in Birmingham.
This offers evidence of the pattern of salesmanship Lyons pursues. They invite senior people to lunch. In this meeting they target their sales strategy at Standard Motors (who subsequently purchase LEO II/8), C.A.V. (who purchase LEO III/5), Ford (LEO II/4 and later LEO II/11), Renolds Chains. They also target Coats, The Scottish Gas Board, Players and Dunlop (as customers for the Glasgow service bureau) and ICI, Cadburys, Dunlop and Standard Motors (for the Birmingham service bureau).
