Clean up that river!

Can you balance the flow of sewage and factory waste into the river against the water drawn off to fill the reservoir so that rainbow trout are seen once again in one of the country's prettiest waterways? The fight against pollution must go on.

Practical investigations of pollution are not often done in the classroom and the topic tends to receive rather brief treatment. This package is certainly very interesting and exciting and would, I am sure, provide a stimulus to the teaching of this topic. Counting the fish, looking for the water rat and bird and finally seeing the red fish is great fun.
