The Olivetti Summa Prima 20 is a mechanical, hand-operated, 10-key add-listing machine. Olivetti were known for their easy-to-use and stylish machines. The mechanics of the adding machine were designed by Natale Capellaro, and the exterior was designed by Marcello Nizzoli, an Italian designer whose work was very popular at the time. Its mechanical operation made it the portable, cheaper version of the Summa Quanta, which it was released alongside in 1960. The user was able to perform addition, subtraction, and multiplication through continuous addition, subtotal, and total functions.
