Released by Sony in 2012, the PS3 Super Slim is a cut-down version of the original PlayStation 3, which was released in 2007. It also followed the PS3 Slim model which was released in 2009. It also used the PS3 branding, which was introduced when the Slim model was announced. There were three versions of the PS3 Super Slim: one with a 250 GB hard drive which was not available in PAL regions, one with a 500 GB hard drive, and one with a 12 GB flash storage that was available in Canada and PAL regions. The Super Slim model is 20% smaller and 25% lighter (2kg/2.1kg compared to 3.2kg) than the previous Slim model, which was already slimmer than the original PlayStation 3. It also consumed less power than the Slim model. The Super Slim model features a manual sliding cover over the disc drive instead of the motorised slot-loading disc cover on the Slim model. The example in our collection is the 500 GB model. Manufacturer: Sony Corporation Other Systems Related To Sony PS3 Super Slim:
